Suggestions on Upgrade...

We are a very small print shop and are finding that more and more our work is turning to variable data mailers that require high quality. We generally have to run the master on our 4-color press and then do the imprints on our 11x17 laser printers. Our quantities per run tend to be pretty short, in the 500-3000 range, and 11x17 with full bleeds with very high ink coverage.

Are there any digital options that are cheap enough for large amounts of coverage to justify changing some of these over from the press? We have some Xerox 7760s that we use, but the quality isn't always sufficient.

Our monthly volume would be around 50-75K 11x17 sheets and mostly on gloss cover two sided. Of course being small the price of the equipment is also a concern.
