we have tried doing everyrthing, all operator maintence is done ,we replaced all consumables,,cleaned sensors, replaced sensors, done IOP etc etc , a tech has been in before and can not dial it in perfect!! The colors are just a tiny bit out of registration....makeing it impossable to get colors correct...print a job we did a month ago and it is a different color today.
I think it is software...but the great minds say impossable... ,since our rip has decided to shutdown randomly on its own, this color registration problem reared its ugly head..guess it is just a coincedence:rolleyes::cool:

weird. Ive never had that problem with IGEN.

it was a daily headache with Nexpress. ALWAYS out a dot or two...constantly recalibrating.

is it out crosstrack or intrack? Either way, after doing all the calibrations. id be stumped, too, sorry not much help.

IOP setup is for Image on Paper registration. If your Image on Image is off, you need to perform IOI registration.

    Good luck

You can always reset the nvms for IOI registration and run the setup again.

We tried that Milo. ...... The larger the text or image ..the better the quality. If I have a job, lets say a business card with a solid pantone on the back, ,and the same color text on the front with a small solid ..the text will look like a different color from the solid on both sides!..trying to dial in reflex blue can be a nightmare now, .one day a job prints perfect...try the same file a couple days later and the color looks completly wrong...Thinking has to be software glitch in a recent patch they installed.

Do you use freeflow? no chance its a messed up setting?

I had a queue the other day, with similar name to another...accidentally dropped one file of many into it. all the horizontal edges were "fuzzy" like an atari game LOL and rainbow colored all wacky. the whole image was fine...just the edge of solid percentage colors.

turned out, I had "enhanced processing" unchecked in this oddball queue. checked it, and it ran. that took me a lot of head shakes to figure out.

fixed it....for now.....normaly we only use the 175 Dot- but for giggles decided to do a color check all ...after running individual color checks for all the dot gains ....for for whatever reason we are now printing the colors correctly now ..weird!!!!

turns out our like for like swap of the both putors has created a whole new set of "glitches"...YES MY ORIGIANAL problem is gone:cool: ....but now I THINK we have a somebody elses problems the Igen software team could not fix......Xerox service Techs are the best!!!!!!!!!!!....but the software team sucks balls!!! nice guys, work hard but typical software clowns...if xerox made a car with power windows and you complained they only went half way down, the Xerox crew would be thrilled the windopw moved!!!!!

Did they reload software at your site for both or just bring them in and power on?

Call the hotline and check to see if you are on the latest and greatest software for your hardware type.
Also, as for the color/IQ issues before, it has been recommended that if you only run at 175 LPI that you do the whole color maintenance routine for 200 LPI at least once a moth. This will give the system something accurate to compare too and 175 LPI will run/look better.
