speedmaster 72zp vs. sormz

hi. im considering to buy speedmaster72zp or sormz. 2color heidelberg machine. can you help me decide what unit is better. speedmaster is perfecting, i heard from another printer that 1979 model and below has problem in perfecting unit?
sormz is cheaper but speedmaster is the later model.

Hi,

Generally the Speedmaster 72 is the better machine as it has more possibilities in regard to what it can run. The rolling power of the 2 presses will be the same but because the SORMZ`s units are a mirror image the user friendlyness can be an issue in regard to plating up or setting the ducts if they are manual machines.
Obviously the footprint of the 2 machines are different the 72 being bigger and at least the feeder and delivery on the 72 can run 1 for 1.
The perfecting unit as long as they have been maintained correctly should be fine, just give any machine a thorough looking at and testing before a purchase.

Stick with the 72 the S-Line series is prone to "delivery streaking".

id opt for the speedmaster for many reasons. symetrical units, plus high pile delivery just to name a couple
