SORM Removal

Hello fellow printers
I'm about to move to a new place.
I have to detach a feeder of 1980 SORM.
What markings should I make to the magnetic clutch and the front lays before removing the chain?
Worring that I might loose the timing

 

You just have to make a line with a white marker on the two parts of the coupling and when you detach the chain you must not turn the drive pinion of the printing groups and also not move the margin head so as not to lose the zero position.

The flywheel and the feeder head usually move during shipping. I will remove the drive motor so there will be no brakes

 

By margin head you mean front lays?
