Hello expert, i would like to ask all your opinions about the differences with the new SM74, SX74 and the XL75. Is it only the cylinder configuration. Please enlighten me. Also why Heidelberg phase out the CD74? Is the XL75 same as CD74 in their parts and electronics. Thank you for all your inputs.

XL75 pretty much the same thing as CD74. Same thing with SM/SX74 just newer model. XL75 is hands down the best machine from Heidelberg for the money spent. Higher printing speed, seperate blanket/impression cylinder washers, better feeder head, better inker, better delivery, better slowdowns, mark free transfers, air assisted belly pans, and you only have one cylinder carrying the sheet from impression to impression instead of 3 on the SM/SX74. SM/SX74 has come a long way since it was introduced around 1995 and is indeed a great machine, but you cannot compare it to the XL75. Awsome machine without a doubt.
