SM74 Ink Key & Display Problems

Good Morning All,

We are having problems with our 2005 SM74 5C.
When the pressman presses the console inking controls, the display on the console does show his movement up or down.

On the display screen, it may or may not show movement while he is doing this, and then jumps up or down after he has hit the console button several times.
Only then does he realize he has input to much adjustment to the unit ink keys.
Any help would be appreciated.

 

Is this happening on all printing units or on a particular one?

I am not looking for parts at this point. I am just trying to figure out what the problem might be.
I don't think ink keys at this point since it is a problem with all 5 units.
