SM 74 air pressure error

Getting a red light showing insufficient pressure. Compressor is ok. For some reason the sensor is not allowing the valve to open.

 

Could be your I/O (EAK) board. In which case, there wouldn’t be 24V at the plug. Check w/ meter. I’ll f 24v is present, you’d have a failed or fouled pressure release valve.

 

Ok thanks. I will check that out. For now we have installed a potentiometer to bypass the sensor.

Make sure you don't have water in the airline system.
And there are 2 or 3 fuses in the air cabinet (acces from the step platform) make sure any of them isn't tripped.

 

Check for leaking hose

If your compressor is OK.
Close or bend the main hose after the regulator (usually under the feeder),
Watch the regulator's clock, if it's going down, you have to check before the regulator. If it's going up, then you have to check for a leak after the regulator, you can close the hose which feeds all the machine except the feeder, search for leak in the feeder. Then continue to check (at the same way) if there are any leakages in the units one by one until you find the exact leakages positions and fix them.
