Hi All, I have a 2000 Sm102 that every time I run a 28x40 sheet the side guide on the operator side comes down on the back of the sheet. All other sizes it is fine just when I go to big sheet. I was told by Heidelberg that most likely the side guide is worn out and needs replaced which is a $7000 fix. I was wondering if anyone out there had any ideas other than spending that much money to fix.

I assume with the age of the press it as got motorised brass style side lay if it has then it has a small lever underneath with a roller bearing this lifts the side lay these wear out which can cause your problem they should cost about $100 and about 3 hours labour to fit I would have these done first before buying complete sidelay

Yeah pretty much what LLS said. Dont be surprised if the parts are more than 100 bucks but still definitly less than the cost of a new guide.

If you need the pull rails, I do have a NEW set. $400 for the pair.
