I have broken the shear pin two days in a row. Both times was with a fresh knife, one had less than 400 cuts the other had less than 900 cuts. It's a Polar 92 and only have problems with the shear pin breaking when cutting stock for the press. Any ideas of what could be the possible problem?

    Hi sir
the shear bolt is a fusible part as long as it is broken so it cannot support the hardness of the paper so either the paper is hard (you must reduce the quantity to be cut for example instead of a thousand sheets try to put 500 sheets to reduce the load) or the paper is in the wrong direction of the grain this creates hardness in the cut.
    Good luck

The operator has 26 years experience so lack of knowledge is not the problem

Ok. Follow the recommendations by Polar Mohr, of large experience as Manufacturer #1 of Paper cutter.
    Blessings.

Does the machine rotate freely by hand in maintenance/manual mode? Did the problem start after a blade change?
