dc 951 will not run due to this error charge 1 (m) pr residual voltage. All other jobs will run just not the xerographics any ideas would be greatly appreciated. charge station on unit 1 has all new wires and grid.

  • Could be anything from a faulty esv to the cleaner not cleaning. Things to check

1 - Cleaner is cleaning OK. Brushes OK, Flicker bars not built up with compacted toner. Cleaner vacuums Good (3.5 inches of water)
2 - All grid shields (inboard and outboard) are still in place on all stations inc Pre - transfer
3 - All grids are good and none bent
4 - all charge corotrons are seated fully and the connectors are secure at the rear
5 - Faulty ESV - Service rep is needed to check readings and replace

This fault can sometimes be declared on one station, but the root cause can be occurring on a different station.

You can also do a voltage adjustment on the ESV on the faulty station. Need the edoc to adjust it properly. Not to hard to do. The voltage gets out of whack sometimes and you have to adjust the variable resistor for the faulty station. I've had to do this sometimes.

I presume you mean the pots on the amp by the toner hoppers? If so that is iGen3 only. iGen4's use 2060 ESV's and the amp is on the dev tank which is not reliably field adj
