    Hi Everyone,

We have a SCREEN PTR4300 running Kodak Excel Plates using the correct laser intensity values and RPM's from manufacturer. The machine was installed new in late 2009. It ran fine for over year with good laser measure calibration values. then after a while a couple Diodes started going low so we replaced 2 since then it seems that once a year we have to replace a Diode, this is getting ridiculous now. Our tech support keeps telling us its all the dust and debris from the Kodak plates are shortening the life of the diodes also the room temperature has to always be right also I'm forced to clean the lenses constantly in order not to get any laser power warning messages.

We had a old Creo Lotem before running the same plates for years and never had do anything concerning the lasers.

    Does this make sense?? Anyone
