Ryoibi 3302 Powder Unit issues

I Run a Ryobi 3302. It is outfitted with the more manual version of the powder unit. It has an exterior control handle at the powder reservoir that controls powder volume, and valve adjustments at the interior nozzle. I can't seem to find comparable settings for both to get a desirable spray. I have set the valves wide open and adjusted the volume accordingly, but i seem to get either too much powder, or none at all. When I try to close the valves to restrict the air flow, it just seems to clog the unit with powder, and it becomes worthless. I have had a technician set it to no avail, and can't seem to find any info anywhere, not even in my manual. Has anyone had this issue, or have any advice to setting it. I would like to find a setting that would be satisfactory for most jobs.

Try using the unit with very little in the jar, then you have to open up the air to fluf up the powder and you will see the air flow swirl in the jar. We put powder in very small amounts, 1/20 of the jar. The goal is to make the unit work hard to deliver very little. Running C-350

  • The powder units that come on a 3302/3304 are just junk! We have been fighting with them for years. There is no rhyme or reason to them. I find that ours run "best" when full. We still get an occasional burst or puff of powder that fills the delivery area (and your clothes). The service tech that works on our machines finally admitted that the Ryobi powder units are "junk".

should upgrade to a powd-air system thats what i have on my 9985(which is a 3302) and It has no problems at all it does wonders. The original system wasn't engineered very well at all. we didn't even attempt to use it because of that just took it off right away and put the powd-air system on. They are pretty cheap and pretty easy to install.

    guys

you are talking on the basic TOYO powder sprayer and it is built just to show as a sprayer , not to work as one :-).

You can get better units on the free market and set them up for your press at no time.
cheaper then trying to get that junk work.....

need help finding a unit ? tell me and i will help :-)
