    Hi,

I am looking at purchasing a 750 ryobi in the XL format of 780 x 600mm.

do they have any problems or short comings?

have any printed to the maximum of 580mm?

    regards
    Steve

Ceoprint, just starting training on that press. The company I went to work for loves it. I'll let you know what I think. It's fast and very automated. I've mostly run German machines in the past. Only exeption was 4 years on a newer shinahara 5 color. There's many similarities between them.

I would say that Ryobi 750 is the best product they ever made. I am using it since 2006 and it still running till now and give less problems compare to Ryobi 920.

Pre-soaked cleaning cloths supplied by Ryobi are very good, if you decide to use different rolls from another supplier then problems may occur with uneven cleaning of the blanket, rolls have been known to come off the core and are then dragged by the grippers through the machine damaging blankets etc

I'm useing Baldwin wet rolls on a 750. They function fine but that solvent they use is super slow, so if the rolls are shipped or stored on end they'll be much too wet on one end to dry. That will badly contaminate ink/water. I believe the unevenness can also cause them to wrinkle as they roll up as used. I choose to use auto wash sparingly then wipe down with hoter solvent to make sure blankets are dry.
