I'm running a 3200 pfa. Left it for a few minutes. BAD idea. Heard it jam and the ugliest thud. Thought maybe I snapped the V-belt but didn't. Cleared the jam. A large number of sheets were stuck between plate and blanket cylinders.
Anyway, it started up fine but when I went to print there was no contact between the primary plate cylinder and the blanket. No image produced. I can see light between the 2 cylinders when there shouldn't be. The secondary unit (underside) is printing fine. I'm no tech but I need to get this fixed. I have a book that is "supposed" to hit the streets in 2-3 days.
How do I get the plate to make contact with the blanket? The form rollers are putting ink on the plate fine but it is not being transferred to the blanket.
I've taken off all the covers and I don't see anything visibly wrong but I did hear some kind of loud thud or even a snap but I don't see anything.
Can anyone offer some suggestions? Thanks!
