We have 2005 model Roland 702 in our print shop. Especially in papers up 200 gsm we have sheet travel problem. machine takes 5-10 paper than stops. then 10-20 and stops again.
At the same time in Screen in always shows that -10/-10.

AEP->nul.(preset, feeder) and check again. If same, position the feeder at 180 degrees.

thanks a lot. We solve the problem with both side coated 270 gsm but we still can not run the machine for 350gsm paper (foto in attacht). The machine take 1 paper than stop. In every start takes only 1 paper and then stops.

You have not solved any problem. R700 works normally with 7-800 g/m2 material. I think you need a printer.

We already print with 500-600 g/m2 without any problem. Our problem starts if we use one side Kraft paper ( as in the upper picture ).

With one side Kraft paper we can`t run the machine continuously. In both side coated or white paper no problem in any g/m2 at all.

Could it be that the print sensor doesn`t see the kraft side of the paper?

It would be the same with 100g/m2. kraft.
If 100g/m2 does not work either, then the problem is in the sensors.
So far (30 years) I have not had such a problem with kraft.

Try moving the material forward using timing.

PP You can also try the sensors with kraft on the open lid. Change the small / large format of the sensors.

have you calibrated the cover guides at front edge ? as a rule must be 0.2 plus the paper or cardboard thickness... this is your first step.
Is the suction at forwarder wheels near the side puller working ?
have you check the feeder timing adjustment? you can play with this value at printing unit 1, every type of paper need diferent adjustment so if the value at display on PU1 show -10 at both sides of paper then you need to advance the paper over the feeder table!!! normally this value is in 50% it means in the middle, when increase value betwen 50 and 99 you are advancing the paper and changing nthe value bellow 50% to 00 then you are retard the advance of paper!!!! many printers forget to use this value???? please read the operation manual first.... or ask to pressman with experience!!!

this reading means the paper is advancing late at front edge sensors!!! check the feeder timing value...
