Has anyone come across this problem before? I swapped out the tachometer generator with another press but same problem occurs.

Is that the lever on the brake or something electronic? Because when I reboot the press, the lever goes on and off and I get the fault “ The main drive does not turn although brake is released”.

Electronic switch, it is inside brake, you need to adjust it.

I guess the motor needs to be taken off the press to get it opened? Sounds like a job lol.

And by any chance, does this air pressure sensor have anything to do with it? The other pressman bypassed this sensor and no longer connected.

Switch is on brake, it is easy to change it. It give input signal to RTR that brake is on, then RTR compare signals and if signals are OK machine can run. If, let say, brake is on and signal from switch show that brake is of, he think that motor is running, but tacho signal is of, so computer have two informations that are not "inline" and he stops the machine...

So to get to that micro switch I’ll have to open the motor? Or is the switch next to the tacho?

You must check this inputs on A354, when you release brake by hand brake switch must be on, if it is not you must adjust it. You need to compare two signals, brake from switch and brake by hand...

Ok so that’s what needs to be adjusted? I’m guessing the brakes are worn and need to be adjusted to the sensor correct?
