Loss of vacuum to the cleaner. Could be a faulty cyclone blower

  • crap i have this. igen has been more productive than ever as of late....

    thoughts?

I have a thought but use at your own risk disconnect the black hose that runs from the cleaner unit to the cyclone blower drop in a handful of rice and reconnect hose clamp and close door let in run for a hour or so once you open the door up again the rice will drop into the waste toner box. that will knock the toner off the walls of the tubes. If that does not fix the problem there is a sensor on top of the cyclone tube with small hose running into it . check make sure that tube is not plugged and replace sensor. best of luck

LOL im just gonna do that so I can say I put food inside the Igen.

nah. the thing runs perfectly fine day in day out...

i go to put this ONE bottle in, and it wont clear. bottle is on the shelf... not sure I care anymore :)

that quote.... not relevant. was thinking we were talking about my faulty developer waste bottle. sorry

what kind of rice should I use? uncle bens? brown or white? mexican?

My igen3 has been doing this too. New filter, same story. I messed with the sensor and got it to go away temporarily, but it came back. Blew out that hose, 'twas clean already. Suggestions?

  • the little sensor on the end of that hose....take the hose off. blow it out. then take sensor off and blow into it. tap it with a screwdriver a few times.

    worked for me.

There is a sensor switch in the filter chamber, make sure its clear and clean.
