I've been operating a 34DI for about a month. Quality is generally very good but I'm getting problems with register every time I try running a solid black. Presstek advised making sure composite black consisted of no more than 100% black + 60% cyan, but I'm getting the problem even with a single black and even if it covers only 50% of the SRA3 sheet.

Do other users have the same problem? Is it a limitation of the press or is there an answer?

i have had similar problems and firstly ,long grain paper always run better on your press. When you print a solid black and percentage tints in cyan and red and yellow, tack comes in to play. If you can print a four colour solid of equal weight but run lighter you will find less problems with stretch due to tack off units.
