Dear Friends,

This is the sample of a recent refurbishment of the Amkasyn AMK AZ-40 Central Module of Servo System - Servo drives DC Bus Power Supply, and CPU, PLC, I/O and Communication add-on cards.

After full disassembling, all the parts are deeply cleaned before major faults resolving, all the electrolytic capacitors replacing, and assembling the unit back. No thank to AMK for the such uneasy and difficult construction of the unit for repairing.

This thread is not for discussions, this is just to show a little for our current and potential customers, as well as for "examiners" and "expertrs" who know only "laws" of money but who are far away of physics, of the other exact sciences, and of engineering;
- What is the actual refurbishment in opposite to declarative light repairing, which is covered with the heavy term "refurbishment" on the "Electronic Compnents Level", just for marketing tricks.

This is to understand clearly why the services of our Alonex ICEE Labs are so expensive.

Dear Friends,

One more hello on behalf of our Electronic Lab, with a similar example of a recent refurbishment of the Amkasyn AMK AZ-05 Central Module - a smaller and lees or more repairable unit, in comparison with the AMK AZ-40/60 power modules, which are near irrepairable and non-inspectable in an open state. Unfortunately, the after repair in-system test of the AMK AZ-40 module was negative in the field - the same fault (it is not actually ready while it is writen "ready" on its control panel). That unit has been returned for further in-lab off-system inspection and for location of the fault.

  • Different peoples, different cultures... Electronic problems are invariable. We will not serve it until it breaks! :)))

    Dear Mehanka Abortmaher,

    Yes, exactly.

However, indeed this AMK AZ-05 module has been released on 13.06.22, after the last repair in absolutely clean and working condition. It simply works at a place, which is full of an industrial dust, 24/7, humidity and heat. The field engineers understand the such problems, and they trying to resolve them in time, but the management does not wake up until a production line has been stopped with a fault.

Today tonight, the repaired module is going to be exchanged with its colleague, which has become faulty right today morning.

    Regards,
    Alex

    Dear Mehanka,

The field operations and maintenance procedures are not theoretical instructions composed with a cup of coffee in an air conditioned room, like now. We understand field technical personnel and even management (but less). Sometimes, if not every time, formal and commercial stupidities do desturb a normal maintenance of equipment.

The second AMK AZ-05 module is on the photo podium of our reanimation table. It is the similar situation. The customer states, that this is an used item which has been taken of their technical stock, and worked just 1-2 months.

Of cource, it is assumed much longer operation of this module, before it has refused to work. Such modules are widely sold on e-bay as "new - open box"(it means actually without an original box), "cleaned and tested" (after an external air purge only), "taken of a working production line"(for a symbolic price per a kg, and sold for thouthands $/EUR/BP), etc.,

Thanks for appreciation, but please do not "like" each our post and do not confuse us, since it is impossible/prohibited to place any dislike, by anyone, herein on these forums. We do not enjoy of the stupid virtual "likes", but of our honnest and accurate job, which is not in positive result sometimes as the AZ-40 above, which we are afraid to open again.

Judging by a cursory search, these modules are very popular. The sale of used and repair offers is huge. It's time to create a warehouse of popular repair models for quick replacement.
