I am looking at purchasing a 1997 L528 that has the PQC. Is is possible to save the ink settings or do you have to have the KMS to do that? This press does not have that. If not is there a way to add it? Is it possible to add a scanner?

Yes, it should have the tape recorded if it doesn't have KMS.

Input of CIP files to your press

If you have KMS , it is a simple job to send the jobs to the press and store them after the press , but you will need the PCC software or similar to get the file in the right format to your KMS.

If you have no KMS , I would say buy it and add it.
It is possible to work with the old Komori magnetic cards , but it is not a cheap way (cards are high in price , and you need alot of them) the magnetic reader head will go bad from time to time and that is very high in price to replace , and if you want to input a job to the press the first time you will need an external unit too...

The cheaper & better way is to go for KMS

You will need the CIP file creator - that's from Komori , or i can offer a good one for way less and yet better...

Talk to me if you need help and/or want to save money
