Question About Choosing the Right Computer on Module (COM)

I'm looking into using a Computer on Module (COM) for an embedded project and could use some advice. My main priorities are power efficiency, processing power, and long-term availability. The application involves real-time processing, but power constraints are a concern. I'm considering options like NXP i.MX, NVIDIA Jetson, and Intel Atom-based modules.

Has anyone here worked with these? Any recommendations on modules with good software support and low power consumption? Also, what are some key pitfalls to watch out for when integrating a COM into a custom carrier board?
