QMDI Plus - Typical Production Capabilities?

What is your maximum production capability for a given 8 hour shift? If you ran 1000 impression jobs 4/0, how many could you expect to get out of the press daily? Given the fact that we run at full speed (9000-10000/hr) it seems like I should be more productive than I am. What I'm really wondering is if I'm expecting enough out of my pressman. thanks

What's your image time per form? The DI press I was running had like a 15-18 min image to ink on sheets timeframe. 1000 sheet 4/0 should not take much time after that if he's pretty much in color. So say aprox 30 min per form within those specs. If he's excessive on the make ready time he might be having trouble with color or the press. If he's changing paper size alot, going to envelopes and changing blankets then yes that all takes time. But if he's on the same stock and size without drastic color change he should be knocking them out pretty quick.
