My Printmaster46 (QM46) has just started locking up, (stops dead) I don't know if this is relevant but if I wait a while the compressor then kicks in for a while and then everything returns to normal.

I am confused as the press can run and then literally lock up within a split second of the last sheet being delivered, (no gentle slow down) or it can lock up as soon as the plate clamp shuts upon loading a plate.

Any ideas at all would be great as I'm struggling till I can call an Engineer.

    Many thanks

    Harvey

Do you happen to see if a code appears on S56......leave it on and keep an eye on the display.

    Hi,

just loading a plate on pu2 and as soon as the clamps shut it stopped dead and the compressor came on for a minute.

    Checked code ERR2 02-05

Many thanks Mr Heidelberg where in the UK are you?

I called an Engineer out and they replaced a ram that was leaking, no improvement. Now I've had to order a new lower limit switch, fingers crossed.

I was shocked Heidelberg wanted £750.00 up front on my credit card for a call out as I dont have an account, is this normal? or even worse £75 to talk to someone technical.
