    I have a 1996 QM-46 2 colour press.
We are having an issue with some sort of low spot on unit 1. I did a break-away solid test with a brand new blanket and packing, the plate inked up perfectly, but on the test sheets there is an approximately 6"x6" inch wide area on the bottom of the NOP side of the sheet that will not print. The test sheets for unit 2 printed perfectly so we are assuming it is not the blanket cylinder. Any ideas would be helpful!

If the plate is getting inked in that area, try looking at the gear teeth on that side of the press. it may be possible that if you have some trash in the gear that it causes the plate cylinder to move slightly away from the blanket cylinder in that area on that side of the press. creating what looks like a low spot on blanket.

We figured it out - it was the cylinder linkage arm. We recently replaced it and it was out of adjustment.

thanks for sharing , most people don't give the final feedback. it is good to hear your up and running again and what caused your problem.
