First of all, are you priming your wash up cloths before each plate wash? Or even every morning before you start for the day? If so, don't do it. If you do you will eventually have too much solution in the cloths as the entire roll starts to absorb the excess plate wash solution. The only time you should prime the wash up cloths is on Monday after the machine has been sitting over the weekend to get solution back in the lines.
The amount of wash up solution used is not dictated by a program in the service codes. It is dictated by the air pressure in the wash-up solution tank. This pressure should be set at 0.5 bars. I do not recommend going any less or you will get plates scratches. Any more and the plates will not wash up and solution will leak out of the plate wash mechanism.
