My company is looking at the new Prosper 5000. We use recycled paper exclusively for our jobs. The 1st gen Prosper was sold telling us that the paper had to be pre-coated in order to avoid bleed through on our paper. My FE's are now saying that it is no longer needed. Can anyone confirm/denty that in fact the paper still needs to be coated? Thanks!
Some stocks need treatment (mainly coated stocks), others such as uncoated recycled and groundwoods can be run without coating. Kodak is hoping to release their coating unit by Q3/Q4 2012.
