I would like to be able to daily productivity of a MO4 w/ cpc1.02. Things like speed, impression on/off per unit & then be able to graph this on a pc.

Does anyone know of any solutions out there, or would this have to be something that I would have to bring an electrical engineer around to develop?

Also Im looking at auto ink keying & adjusting ink solutions. I have come across the inkzone solution from switzerland which scans the artwork from pdf, links into the CPC & automatically adjusts the ink keys & then printer uses xwrite desitometer hooked up to pc to measure press sheets & system automatically adjusts on the fly. Does anyone know of any other solutions out there that I can have a look at?

& one last thing I am after an operator/parts manual for a CPC 1.02. If anyone can help me out, much appreciated.

Before you can implement these programs the press itself must be in top condition.all rollers and settings must be correct the. Blankets packing water system.all ink fountains calibrated also press must be fingerprinted for accuracy of press curves.a serious undertaking!

The machine is in top conditions…we already have a maintenance program taking care of all operation details and working with TVI in prepress…our priority now is to increase productivity.

do you work this kind of implementation?

To invest that much money in an MO 4color is not prudent.you should upgrade to cd all you're requirements are built in.autoplate cp2000 and so on

    Jack, these are 2 different investments…implementing a CIP3 is 30.000,00 while upgrading to CD is 2.000.000,00 (

Out of question at this moment

are you asking this question to get a baseline for estimating jobs or are you wanting it to use as a metric for evaluating your press crew? I will tell as mentioned before.... If you're looking to be competitive in a 4 color market an old MO press lacks not only the speed but the tech to get the job done.
