Problem with Heidelberg SM52-2

Hi, I have a Heidelberg SM 52-2, when I start the machine it makes a lot of noise, it hits jerks, as if it were braking, or as if I wanted to go back, and when I change the iron it costs or does not reach the position to change the iron.

We have checked the brake and it works well, since Heidelberg they tell me that it can be the BLT plate, and I have sent it to repair and they have tested and tested it in a QM-4 colors, and that noise does not appear. No error appears on the machine.

In the DIN TEST and in the INI TEST no error appears, and the engine has been revised and it seems that everything is OK.

Could it be that the BLT board behaves differently in a QM than in an SM?

Or does anyone know what the problem could be?

Hi Jose Miguel:
I believe that you must take the complete Main motor for to due a complete Maintenance.

like 1) exchange ball bearing 2) LUBE 3) Clean it 4) and replace any parts in bad conditions.5) Reheating winding( Not burn) 6) Undervoltage 7) Overvoltage.

As you know, Heidelberg recommend to excecute maintenance to any Electric Motor, and practices of Engineering Electric in focus of motor, they recommend to due the same.

I strong to recommend you to do the same.

Otherwise you must waste time +money.

Please note carefully, that they tes the Electronic board in another machine, and work o.k

This is the cycle of work from any machine, and condition status that you have your machine.

I know in my long Experience from 47 years( Now retired as Professional Electrical/Electronic Engineer) That 95% of customers around the world, they do not make Maintenance work, Only call when the situation is bad.

Sounds like a loose press or main drive encoder, have a look at both, or ask the Heidelberg guys, by iron I hope you mean the printing plates, if the position isn't reached you have the press encoder to blame, It's quite easy to just do a visual inspection before taking out the whole BLT, if the BLT worked on another press chances are the problem is with the encoders
