I am currently looking to buy a Printmaster QM 46-2

A 2 Colour Heidelberg press with common blanket.

I use a Heidelberg TOK with T51 head on at the moment.

My question is, Can this machine do the odd 4 Colour Job?

NO , under no ciricumstances. For an acceptable (not necessarily good) 4color job, you need a machine with front lay (head lay) and side lay. PM 46 has none of these...

common sence vs wiseass. And all these questionmarks....like," why, why , what do we need front and side lays". All, uneccesary fancy schmansy stuff for the unskilled... I d never buy a 4color job coming out of any QM, including yours.

I've printed 4 colour work on a single colour Komori sprint made in the late 70s' early 80s' with front and side lays, yes it looked nice at the time but would not look acceptable now. It's all about quality, speed and price and I don't know anyone that would have 4 colour work printed at a printers that didn't have a press with at least 4 colours.
