I wanted to know how to set up printing a 8x11 booklet that is stapled and folded and has just cover in color and the rest of the pages in black and white. I've done booklets that have been either all color or all black and white but none which have been a combination of both. suggestions please.

Are you actually getting rich black / rich gray / color-printed elements on the black and white pages of the document, or is it only an issue of the click charge counting bw as color when you print a mixed color/bw document?

why dont you print them separate and put them through a collator/ booklet maker. Thats what i have to do

All you have to do is print all the covers first. Then load all the covers into a post inserter tray. Then print all the inside pages together, and using the mixed media settings to insert the cover, all while having your fold and staple setting on.

The print should start by feeding one cover, then printing however many pages on the inside, Fold and staple, feed another cover etc...

    You using a Fiery?
