Hey All! Happy New Year! Would someone please post the standard procedure for changing print length (longer and shorter). Trying to remedy minor print length issues on a 1989 40" Speedmaster. Thanks

For clarity, I'm talking packing deviations, not mechanical adjustments.

Reduce the packing from plate cylinder and add to blanket to make print longer, adding packing to the plate cylinder and removing equal amount from blanket makes print shorter.

just to add ....the impression cylinder pressure must be adjusted to correspond with the new blanket height. As a ballpark guide I would say that to initiate a change of a couple of rows of dots on the tail end of a 28 x 40 sheet you will need to add or remove about .004 of packing.
