    Dear Chock,
Thanks for your usual help. I will follow up the above procedure and will back to you.
The scanner you mentioned is the PSD?

    Hi Chock,
I have a 5334 DI Kodak (Ryobi, Presstek)
our CMOS battery is dead in the gui server (Dell Optiplex GX 650)
we replaced the battery, but is not recognizing the new battery
we took the coin battery CR2032 for 10 min and replaced with a new battery to go to CMOS default but no luck.
and now we are getting the E-031 error. It looks like the alignment of the feed drum latch is off,

Would it be possible to give me some ideas how to fix this issue?

    Please reply.

    Luis

    Hi luis
    - Ensure the CR2032 battery is installed with the correct polarity (positive side facing up) , then Check for corrosion or debris in the battery socket. Clean it gently with isopropyl alcohol and a soft cloth or brush

Unplug the system and remove the new CMOS battery.
Locate the CMOS jumper on the motherboard to do a reset , Move the jumper to the reset position for about 10 seconds, then return it to its original position.
Reinsert the battery and restart the system.
But first please Use a multimeter to ensure the new battery has adequate voltage 3V
If the system boots, consider updating the BIOS to the latest version to prevent further issues.
If these steps don't resolve the problem, the motherboard itself may have an issue

    - E-031 Feed Drum Latch
You must Look for wear, damage, or obstructions in the latch and feed drum area. Lubricate moving parts with an appropriate lubricant if they seem stiff.
If the positiln is not good align manually the latch to its proper position. Try to turn off the machine

    Hi Sir:

Please Reset the CPU, and clean very well the pins CPU+ CMOS, EPROM+ BATTERY contacts, use wristrap for Static electricity, since you can damage the ICs by Static with your fingers.. do it carefully.

    Let me know. sincerely.

    Sorry.

  • Good evening, to solve this problem you need to set the machine to the zero point, as the machine is not detecting where to start recording the image.
