I have operated this particular 34-DI for going on 8 years and the problem with spots in the cyan have been getting worse. I've had our repair guy look at it and he blames the paper picking, but it isn't consistent with picking. It looks more like a very fine spray of oil or as if the paper is dragging against a bar with oil on it. I have wiped down everything that I can reach and it still doesn't go away. It is only when I run jobs with heavy cyan and mainly on coated cover stock.
I was also told at one point that it could be powder being blown up by the fan over the IR lamp, but I've tried running without powder and have cleaned the fans and it still appears.
Another theory was that maybe the blanket washers were splashing, but again I tried running with no blanket washers in and it still occurs.
    Any help is appreciated.

Could it be water in your airlines,(compressors)? We drain ours daily, its been so humid.

Thanks Jeff. We usually drain ours weekly, but it's worth a try.
