PR belt stripper finger marks

Getting some marks about from the PR belt stripper fingers.

Do you think I could adjust the media settings to eliminate them?

  • Do you get the scratches on the PR belt also? I had similar problem- getting scratches which appeared to be from the stripper fingers, but it turned out to be from the cleaner brushers...

I had a lot of paper that was cut from a larger sheet. I had a lot of static and the paper was giving me fits.

I rotated the image on the paper and the marks moved to another area on the sheet, but they still lined up with the PR Belt stripper fingers.

The Paper Path Configuration Tool is very helpful. It is in your sample jobs.

    Stiv,

I would be shocked if the scratches were from the p/r stripper fingers. I have seen the bottom plastic clip brake that latches it close but still almost impossible to scratch the belt. Mostlikly one of these twisted 8 wire mods, dicor grids, tab assy, cleaner blade or brush, stock perfs or scores.

  • I looked at the Stripper Bar and it is kind of wiggly. I have sort of rotated it away from the belt as it was super close. I think the belt may have some looseness to it and was hitting the fingers as it flies around on its course.
Anyway I haven't had the marks come back but I'm not running that crappy stock anymore.

    Stiv,

    :-) it's never the stock....
FYI you can remove the belt stripper finger assy. It's one of those things I wish I had came up with. No printer needs it and someone is making a crap load selling them.
