SDP ECO 1630 III R: Has anyone encountered the problem where they need to rebuild their hard drive for their polyplate maker but don't have the software? I need the rip software to reinstall--the company that sold me the machine doesn't have the software and hasn't seen it for 10+ years. Anyone have any suggestions? The computer is an XP computer that is running the rip is unstable.

    Hello Aindrea,
it shouldn't be a problem to get a suitable SDP RIP.

Ask Mitsubishi Imaging in Rye, NY: https://www.mitsubishiimaging.com/

Technically, there is even a way to update the SDP Eco 1630 IIIR (with Bluebox) to a current Xitron Navigator RIP. This will get you back to current Windows operating systems.

    Greetings from Germany

Thank you, Martin! Much appreciated! My wish was to not go through Mitsubishi because of the expense--but I think that's where we are!

I’ve been in your shoes with the SDP ECO 1630 III R when my RIP software was missing, and I had to rebuild my setup. What worked for me was tracking down the Harlequin SDP-RIP installer. I found that some equipment resellers or older service providers sometimes have archived copies.I also reached out to professionals in the printing community, and eventually, someone shared their backup files with me. If you can’t locate it, contacting a dealer specializing in legacy printing systems might help. Persistence is key—someone out there likely has the software you need!
