Hi sir:
1) In the Cpu board do this a) Reset the cpu with the button that the board has b) test the batterry for 3.5Vdc , if low replace it inmediately, you have only Max 10 minutes for replace, otherwise you must delete all the information.

2) if the problem are fix it, good, But if NOT the LMS( Linear measuring system) must be adjusted
While the backgauge is moved the reading head of the linear measuring scale (LMS) delivers 0 and 90-degree
pulses which are then quadruplicated by the PI board. Try to clean very well, and tigh the connector and see for broken wires or loose, and the supply +5vdc is there in brown wires

3) This adjustments: mechanical and electronically are carried in the factory by special tool, however you can try

You can reset the Cpu- in this way

Attached is the my special schematic for Reset the Cpu or Microprocessor

is trick from my side sir.

    Do it.

Look for Cpu Microprocessor in Google, or Yahoo, or Bin the pins schematics, and ready.

Of course, you must sure , the: 1) power supply +2) CLK for the Microprocessor are in order.

    Good luck

Try turning main power of while back gauge is running. When you switch back on you recalibrate back gauge when you run back gauge. This should reset brake after run

    Dear Sir,
did you solve problem with positioning back gauge. I have the same problem on my Polar 92 MON 1985. y. that after a few positioning, more often on larger dimensions, an error occurs "position not achieved". First few positioning are OK. It starts with 0,1mm 0,2mm error and increases with each new positioning and soon becomes ten or more millimeters. After scanning the reference point, the positioning is OK again. I checked the engine brake which is OK. What could be the cause of this problem?

    Hi sir:
Before to do something with the electronic system check this steps:

    Overcut:

    1)
knife: blunt or slanted in the carrier knife , or counter phase
rear of knife is crowned +wrong angle knife +clamping pressure too high

table: table is Not square to the knife carrier

    or
b&gauge?: backgauge is NOT square to the table +knife carrier has play+

    Undercut:
knife: is blunt +has burrs, has place slanting in the carrier knife +wrong angle knife +

    Hollow cutting line:
    1) knife angle is too slender
    2) clamping pressure too low
    3)incorrect knife fixing

    BOW- or hollow cut;
1)The cutting material is unequal in height

    2)The cutting material is Wavy

    Oblique cut:
1)Table is not square to the knife carrier

2)Backgauge is not parallel to the knife

    3) slinding guides has play

Please review carefully, remember the best invaluable tools in troubleshooting is : 5 Sense

Thanks a lot for the quick reply.
I am an electronics technician, so I leave the mechanics on the machines to qualified mechanics. He made the controls you specified, specifically adjusting the brake spacing.
The position is correct when the positioning procedure is done but after several given positions the error increases.
I haven’t tested the machine much so I don’t know if the difference between the actual position and the nominal position is all the time or the bigger problem is that the current position doesn’t match the actual length of the cut paper so a man working on a machine must with a hand meter corrects the paper length.
I can detect a malfunction only when the machine is free,
so I would ask for info on what to pay attention to ...
    Thanks in advance.

    ok, sir please check:

    1) The Gap between magnet and brake linning in the brake backagauge is 0.2mms

    2) After the brake backgauge is actuated, will stop after 1/100mms later.

    3) Carefully with the mechanic, if he as experienced in Paper cutter Machines, specially in Polar?? If Not , i will serious doubt about that machine is fix it.

    4) After that if the machine is Not fixed mechanical, we go to the Electronic/electrical Control issue.

    Hi,
Today, the local mechanic specialist for printing machines that service the mechanics on the Polar machines, checked and adjusted the gap between brake lining and electromagnet to 0.20 mm.
He also blew out the dust with compressed air. He said that with the mechanics is all OK.
I was not there and the user working on the machine said there were no significant improvements.
I'll be on the machine again tomorrow.
    Thanks in advance.

Press the button on the hand wheel, back gauge should then run on its own and calibrate

Sir, this is the first time I use the Polar mohr 92emc monitor. can I have a picture/video of it please
