Good Morning Everyone
I'm new to the forum and I have a question.
Polar EMC 92 Monitor, machine number 5511860
After turning on the machine, the message "SCAN REFERENCE POINT" appears on the screen. After starting the feed, the backgauge moves forward and backward two times, but no dimension is displayed. The only way to work is by moving the backgauge, but without dimensioning.
- The power supply voltages seem to be OK
- The battery on the CP1 board has been replaced
- The encoder (LMS glass scale) has been properly cleaned
- The encoder cable has been checked
- The limit switches under the table are working (but may be in the wrong positions)
- During the reference point scan, LED15 on the PI board does not flash (LED15 does not light at all)
- The backgauge reaches a dimension of 20 mm (the manual states no less than 25 mm)
Some time ago, the program memory stopped working. Now, the message "MEMORY BANK FAULT: ERASE" has been displayed. The memory bank had a faulty battery, but replacing it didn't improve anything.
I don't know what else to check.
Could the LMS adjustment work?
Does the CP1 board or the PI board need replacing?
I would be grateful for any information. I know similar threads have been discussed on the forum, but the symptoms or messages usually differed slightly.
