Polar 78X electric scheme

Hi vladossipov

Sorry I had not time to answer. Now I have cancer and I had to go to different doctors.

The presetting is o. k.

78X OFF OFF OFF no touch screen 15”
78+ OFF OFF ON bigger display 18”
78XT OFF ON ON with touch screen

The error BSY-error is for sure an internal error of the CP board. This error is definitely a broken CP board.
The other situations could have a different reason.
Power supply 5V d.c. has to be between 5,08 and 5,12 Volt d.c.
The keyboard has to work correct. If you switch the machine on you have one beep (sound) if the keyboard is switched on and working. This is necessary.
The cable in front of the board CP has to be plugged in correct onto the upper socket.

I send an Email regarding the spare parts and Service

  • I am assuming your next question will be why the official drawings do not help

    Hi Coloured Paper
I have been searching through the forum and spotted a post between yourself and vladossipov which suggests you may have been able to supply electrical schematics for a Polar 78X guillotine

I am a guillotine engineer in the print trade but do not have any drawings for the Polar X range at all
If you have any Polar X drawings at all and are willing to share I would be most grateful if I could get a copy

    Thanks

    Good morning,
I have a Polar 78x (year 2004), with same problem: display sometimes doesn't work (7/8 times on 10); display is all black, off, but it is possible work on guillotine: we can set manual measure and all is ok; sometime display shows vertical lines or strange coloured lines; do you think I need to replace display? Heidelberg is the only one reseller or is it possible to buy elsewhere? Thanks
