    Dear all,

i have following problem on a POLAR 78E.
After 3-4 hours of working with the machine in the morning the problem 469 appears that the max. cutting time has elapsed. The hydraulic clamp goes in down position and the knife bar will not move. After switching off/on the machine and starting the system again the clamp bar will move in its upper home position.
This problem appears now every day and became more worse.

We inspected the brushes an the coupling of the main motor. Everything seems to be O.K. What can cause this problem?

Now the problem has another symptom after switchting on the machine.
The message 'please release cutting buttons' appears, but they are not pushed.
We measured the cutting push buttons. They are O.K.

    Hi,
I'm not much of an expert with this machine generation, but it's very similar to polar monitor series, so in my experience, I think you have a problem with the SK card. The card SK controls the cutting cycle. The best point to begin with is, move the card to another machine or bring a good card to this machine and check it out. The donor machine don't necessarily have to be E. it can be S, ES, E or ED. But before you plug in, check the card model, it should be same or the newer version than the replacing card.

    Hi Nimesh Silva,

we saw that there is a fault on PCB AC-IN, 040174 of the Power supply.
There are conductor paths broken and the contacts of the finder Relais are burned a little bit.
First I think we have to replace this PCB.

    Yes,
Definitely you have to replace it.
And before you install the new board, check why it happened. May be some kind of a short circuit caused it. If it's still existing, new board can damage too.

    we replaced the AC-In Board.
Further we had a fault contact on the SK-15 plug which is responsible for the 2 cutting push buttons.
Also we mounted a shim behind the coupling to have a gap of 0,2-0,3 mm.
Now the machine is working fine.

What you mean as fault conductor on the AC-IN Board?
    Thank you in advance
