We seem to have a developing problem on our polar 78, on a morning it cuts perfectly but as the day goes on usually after 4-5 hours the blade seems to be taking longer and longer to come down until eventually we get a fault coming up, i think it was something like ''maximium cut time elapsed'' or something along those lines. if we switch the machine off for a while it seems to improve it for a short time untill it slows up again. Anyone else had anything like this or any suggestions what it could be??
    thanks

We had a very similar issue with our polar cutter... but there were also other random flaws. The problem became worse and worse over time. We finally got a technician to come in and he eliminated all the possible problems narrowing it down to something in the mother board. The tech. did not work or was not authorized to work on the motherboard. This cost us around $4000 for a new one and then they send the old one back to Germany. You know whats even more frustrating than that is you know it was a $2 chip or part and it is fixed. For some reason they have to send them all the way back to Germany. This wasn't much help but it sounds alot like how our cutter started out when it was having problems.

    ....it´s Service a´la Heidi.
changing boards not looking for faults. The more boards they changed the more you pay for. It´s very expensive to check old boards and archive them back to store. Got same experience some years ago with a press.
