    Hello
    I have a problem on a polar 66 .
    Called out to machine
Found display not working and back fence forward right up against clamp( traced display fault to smaller power supply, 12v/5v)
    Replaced and display now working.
I had to take off the rear guard to wind back the back fence.
As soon as I turn the machine on, the back fence immediately comes forward to the clamp and cuts out the power supply.
The only way I could get the back fence to go backwards was to initiate a scan reference and twisting keyboard encoder in the backwards direction (clockwise)? The power supply fails when the back gauge reaches the reference sensor.
I suspect this power supply is weak and have ordered one but I am concerned that on switching on the back fence will come forward and crash into the clamp again .

Could anyone shed any light as to why I get 24v to the motor on switching on the machine ?

    Thanks in advance.

Check the MOSFET in SAP Board. Located near the Down Connector, aside to Relays.
