    Hello all,

We have a Polar 66 cutter (rebranded as a Baumcut 26.4) that we've started having issues with the safety light barrier on. The machine believes that the barrier is obstructed even though there is nothing on the table. The LED readout for the barrier have lights 5 and 6 on, but 1-4 are all off. We have tried rebooting the machine multiple times and made multiple attempts at adjusting the barriers but have had no success. Any ideas for what might be a solution for this?

    Hi sir:

Light barrier has 2 electronic devices: transmiter + Receiver

Both use + 12Vdc +24vDC, You must test the Regulated power supply in tolerance with the DMM in tolerance, otherwise is defective!!!

Both voltages is coming from SK 95. test the connector 600 , and clean very well , and look for loose wires, corroded, broken, pins bends, or corroded, loose connections.

in the receiver left side, has 6 diodes Leds : D1 _D6, NORMAL FUNCTION WILL BE ; D1-D4 ON * d5 +d6 OFF both.
    faulty; D1; Flashing D2 off D3; off d4; on d5; on D6; on

    Thanks for the response.

We had a chance to check the voltages. Both sides are pulling 12.1 and 24.1 Vdc. Is this considered enough to function? There doesn't appear to be any loose or broken connections or wires, but we'll double check to be sure.

We checked and cleaned connections and found nothing loose, corroded, or otherwise broken. Unfortunately no change in the LED status - 1-4 all off, 5-6 on.

    Thanks again for the assistance.

Polar Infrared light guard carry’s out a test on power up, if correct D1/4 and D5/6 will show intensity and alignment.

D5/6 only shows test failed on startup

Remove right side light guard outer pcb cover and confirm you have two red leds lit?
    As per photo

Proceed as According I did indicated, status LEDs , if you indicate 1-4 Off, is Faulty.

Please replace it, the transmitter board.
