This does not require a CPU reset; there is just a very simple operation by entering the service with a password of 4 numbers and then you go to the menu for deleting data from memory A and B

    Hi sir;
in the Pic Polar #CP2 029583 that you did put in the FORU, , PLEASE see carefully the Small Switch S1, for Reset the CPU, as i did indicated you before in my attachemen in
    pdf
And test the battery carefully, see that does NOT have oxide in terminals, by other side look too, the IC RAM, pins, clean with Electronic Spray special for IC, common in any store from electronic, in order to clean the oxidation, and dust.

I am sending additional finding here.
Yes, the red LED is also a switch and I have pressed it for reset. However its still the same.
I will do cleaning again with electronic spray, and try again.
I am trying to attach a video clip, seems this forum not allowed to upload video clip?

    Hi friends
    For error 240
You have to 1st change the memory used
If you are saving job in a then use memory B Or vise versa.
Then in operations there is an option to delete all jobs in that memory.
After delete all job machine will be ready to used.

    Hi sir:
    My apologize for the delay.

Reheatin is equal to Resolder the electronic board with Flux, that is, and please replace the old battery, the indicative the has 3.7Vdc, is NOT indicative that is good, Polar suggest replace Old battery after 5 years, please do it.

And clean all terminal of IC, as previously indicated with electronic liquid for terminals.

However you must test: 1) if the power supply is in tolerance 0.7% up or down, since you did the RESET in the CPU and NOT wor,lk??
    2) Measure the Clock in the MHZ, is o.k, otherwise, the clock can be faulty, and the Reset will NOT work, and the error is coming .

    1) The battery is indicated 3.7v, if still need to replace, then I will do it.
    2) Yes, I reset (pressed the LED light) and its still not work. Everything same just like ON/OFF the polar machine.

I believed, that you did Not understand very well, my tech recommendations, starting with the Regulated power supply of the machine+ CPU, and the Clock, etc.

Please do , what am tell you , if you want to fix it, and Resolder with flux, x possible Dry+ Cold solder joints.

On the keyboard you have light grey and dark grey push buttons. We go for the dark grey group on the left.
To initialise the actual memory bank you go to “PROGRAM DIRECTORY” (bottom left dark grey button), push “DELETE” (in the display go get the information “SELECT / ERASE”), push “1”, push “-“ (minus), push “99” (to get “1-99”) and finish with “ENTER”.

Afterwards I would do the same thing with the second memory bank. The cutter has two memory banks “A” and “B”.
You go to “SELECTION OF PROGRAMS” (middle lower dark grey button - the icon shows an open book without arrow).
A small window opens. Now you push “1” for “MEMORY SEG: A/B” to change to the second memory bank.
To initialise the second memory bank you go again to “PROGRAM DIRECTORY” (bottom left dark grey button), push “DELETE” (in the display go get the information “SELECT / ERASE”), push “1”, push “-“ (minus), push “99” (to get “1-99”) and finish with “ENTER”.

Now both memory banks are ready to be used.

But normally you should not have this problem. You will see if the machine works o. k. Otherwise let me know.

240 error is the program memory needs either clearing or I have had it needing a prog step entering in too.
The fault I had on one the other day, I just cleared program 1 and it was fine.
Unfortunately I have seen with covid and the machines being switched off they have been more reliant on the battery backup. The battery is used when switched off, the battery can unfortunately recover when machine is working and give a miss reading on their actual condition. You might clear the fault and the next long weekend it’s powered off it failed again.
