Hello ,
I'm work on Polar 115 emc ( Monitor), I'm have problem with back gauge positioning.
First is was stuck on 61 cm on the screen and if i try to change it moves to maximum front point and stop with no value change on the screen.
I changed the sensor cable ,now when i turn the machine on it moves back and front as it is calibrating or trying to find the right point , it gives error ( auxiliary action ) with no value number on the screen.

Sounds like a bad linear encoder.

  • Thank you sir.
I changed the whole ruler encoder with the reading sensor , I replace it from an old machine i use for parts only.
but I still have the same issue , Its not reading any value although when I turn it on it scan back and front .

If youve tried the encoder and cable, it could be the replacement encoder is bad or the PCB it plugs in to. Those encoders have glass in them with very fine lines printed on them. If those lines are wore off, its done. Theres no fix or replacement. Next step is an aftermarket back gauge controller.
