Good evening,

We have a Polar 115 EMC. It has been working perfectly until today.

We were still using it this morning, and then the problem arose.
After lunch, it stopped working.

When you turn on the machine and press the “I” button for the first time, the main motor starts up.

After the main motor started, you press the button again, but nothing happens then. It’s as if the machine doesn’t recognize the command and won’t allow you to activate the controls.

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

We’ve already checked all the visible fuses.

Good evening
It's probably the timer. On the older POLAR machines, a timer has deployed for changing over the main motor from Star to Delta. Since the machine is very old, presumably the auxiliary contact of this timer doesn't function while it reaches to the set point. Can you hear of the motor speed changes? If so, tap on the timer and check if the LEDs on electronic modules light up.

Good luck

  • Hello Mathew,

Thank you very much for the help. You were absolutely right.
    It was the timer.

If we tap the time relay lightly, it triggers and the machine starts up again!

Thank you so much for your help!
