    Hello every one,

we`ve been having clamping problem lately, as clamp won`t go down with foot pedal, but works ok when cutting.

we checked foot switches, both work ok.
we decided its a hydraulic problem, removed the the whole valve block, took out everything, cleaned it, changed all O-rings.

now new probem! clamp Will Not go UP, stuck in down position.
sadly, i have no service manual or other documents.

    machine serial: 5931283

    thanks for the help

    just to clarify:
    -no errors on the screen
-clamp is down even if machine turned off.

    Hi,
Did what you have done solved your old problem?

You have 3 values, right? One is for blade, one is for clamp, and the other is called conical value (Y315). It is the leftmost upper value. This value is responsible for your issue. First, you check it's getting the power. it should be energized with the foot peddle. It should get 42V (or 24V depending on the model) check it first. If the value is energizing, then you have a problem with the value box.

    Check it and come back.

    Thanks Nimeshsilva

The valve is receiving power, 42V.
Should I look for a new one??

Good, that means electronics are OK.
Does the coil of the solenoid is good? Can you feel it's actually moving? If you're not sure, take out the solenoid and turn the machine on and check. (Don't spill the oil all over the place)

It seems something is blocking the return oil line from the working cylinder. Check whether the clamp go up when you take out the solenoid.

If the solenoid have +42vdc and the same is not operating(click) when is activated
the solenoid is Fault, ( winding is overheating inside ) you must replace
However there must be another faulty like the small orifice where the shaft coming from solenoid
goes on, called bushing, if is wear you must replace , or make a new one in some mechanical shop.
if you have another question, back to me

CAUTION! Taking the solinoid out exposes a tiny ball bearing and a plastic three pronged keeper. They will fall into the hydraulic tank!! That keeper wears out and allows the ball bearing to sit off from the middle. You might need to replace the plastic keeper or try turning it front to back and reinstall the bearing.
