That is an external heat roll and has nothing to do with the oiling. The black and orange rolls are the oiler. You can clean the external roll with some fuser wipes.. The teflon coating has worn away in one part but shouldn't cause much of an issue

How far are you from Zagreb? I'm a Xerox tech from the states and might be able to help.

Hello Milo. Senj is about 150km (about 90 miles) from Zagreb.. Where you are??
I understand a lot of electronics and all that stuff. the instructions could dismantle and fix whatever I can ..

nice .. but I think it is not necessary to come to Senj. our technicians have told us that the roller is not urgent to change the .. it will work without the foil. and therefore neither would no action about it .. Can I get your e-mail in order to contact you if we need it?

What is the name of paper stock you are using. It sounds like either the fuser is to hot or the paper you are feeding cannot handle the heat. Also ensure that you have set your paper properties correctly ie do not run 120gsm on a 250gsm setting and visa versa

paper is Core Silk 150gsm and settings is make for this paper.. (coated, 150gsm, dimension..) with the paper work from the beginning. thicker and thinner. and there was no problem .. Two days ago we changed the fuser roll, because the paper is stuck fingers and it broke.
and I thought that it might be due to over-heating fuser .. A month ago we replaced one of the three thermistors .. Can it be done to investigate .. I need advice?

You need to check the following

1: Make sure all of the thermistors are contacting the roll and are in good condition (surface tape not worn through)

2: The oiler is in good condition and is contacting the heat roll. You should be able to pull some 120gsm between the nip of the heat roll and brown roll of the oiler with some force. Also check that the bearings of the oiler are ok and not worn. Place the two springs on the higher part of the spring holder on the oilier to generate a higher contact arc.

3: The oiler upper reservoir isn't dry - check oil pump

4: If the fuser exit baffle is damaged this will cause the paper to catch and fold up into the fuser

5: The Fuser Belt assembly is assembled correctly. It is easy to install the pad 180deg out and will cause problems

Now all thermistors good touch fuser roll .. but for once the film a little broken. metal surface is fine and pure .. but the film is dented. is it necessary to change immediately?

The oiler is in good condition and is good contacting the roll.

The fuse belt is little demaged on right side.. is it that big problem??

other problem is with this line..

If you spoke about the vertical dark band this is not a major problem.
But if the lines are the horizontal ones then that may involve expensive solutions for fix it.

lines are perpendicular to the direction of paper .. mean when I look at the paper in landscape position (coming out of the machine), then the lines in the vertical direction ..

tonight we get another of the services Fuser Belt. We put it in place and worked well around 80 prints .. then began again stick paper for belt .. whether fuser belt should be oiled or dry?
