Plate changing of GTOV 1987 no CPC

Dear Friends...

I just bought a GTOV 1987 with no CPC...i need to know what is required to do (especially with the plate clamps....tail/front positioning) in order to get the narrowest registration between units...im thingking to get 'quick clamps' however they are pretty much expensive (4 sets of them). So if there are some basic knowledge that can be shared...im very pleased...so help me guys...

You should haveplate positioning on the clamps , so if you have a goodpunchand youput in the platesright , you should be close.
Quick clamps aregood , and you can install after marketonesthat cost much less

can you describe plate positioning...like maybe i have to engrave something to the cylinder etc...and whats the difference between speed/quick clamps with the original heidi clamps? sorry man...i just want to be more prepared with the machine,,,i have experienced operators...its just me want to have more knowledge...so i can see whether my operators are doing the rite thing. register pins for positioning in the gripper clamp

you should have 2 small pins in the clamp (grip side) to put the plate on - with the punched holes on the pins - then you are very close (if plates are made right)
Basic Bacher register system - look in clamps

 

Are you saying that my heidi clamps will have those two small pins? im using CTP to produce plates anyway...
