Panther Pro 46 new film and length is shrunk about 1/2"

Morning to all, Please help. Our panther pro 46 is our work horse in our prepress but we have noticed that we put in a new film and the length of the file is shrunk about 1/2" but the width is accurate. Has anyone experienced anything like this before. please advise
