I'm not sure if just any plating shop employs the technology for what is required for a dampening chrome roller, Tom, that being hydrophilic chrome plating. I've used the aforementioned vendor for many years, and have not had a bit of a problem. I guess that's why I recommended them, though there's probably others who can do the same work. Another reason, depending on the make and model machine, they've had stock on hand, already chromed, and once they've received my customer's roller they immediately shipped a replacement.
